Adult Race Series: Round 2
Sunday the 23rd of November was the date of the second Round of our Adult Race Series here at Wight Karting. The conditions were tricky for the drivers, with a lot of rain in the early hours of the morning making the track very slippery, but our 9 drivers were ready to take to the track regardless.
Results
The Round started with a 5 minute qualifying which set the grid for Heat 1. Cayden Francis, Jordan Wheeler and Dale Hunt were our top 3 quickest drivers in qualifying, showing some fantastic ability whilst driving in the wet. After some intense battling in Heat 1, it was Dale Hunt who claimed victory followed by Jordan Wheeler and Max Downer.
The grid was reversed for Heat 2 with Bradley Ferdyn now starting on pole, however that did not stop Max Downer from claiming his second victory of the Round, with Jordan Wheeler and Lewis Hallett completing the top 3.
It was all to play for heading in to the final Heat, with Max and Jordan both being able to claim overall victory of the Round. Ultimately, Max claimed his hat-trick of wins followed by Dale and Jordan after some bumper to bumper action in the opening laps!
Max Downer claimed back to back victories in Round 1 and Round 2, solidifying himself at the top of the overall standings in the Adult Series. The link for the Adult Series table is below so take a closer look!
